A HHO generator is relatively easy to install and does not require you to have a lot of knowledge of cars to begin. A little bit of experience working on cars is a definite advantage here, but you can install a HHO generator with no automotive background at all. To prevent this, ensure that you car has not been used for a few hours before installing your HHO generator, The unit should be placed between the throttle body and the air intake sensor, since this is one of the coolest areas in the engine. Don't make the mistake if assuming you know it all - it never hurts (and often helps) to ask.

It is best to use a fuse for the HHO unit itself in order to prevent short circuits in or near the HHO generator. The wiring will vary here depending on the make and model of car. Different cars also have different requirements for the amount of HHO, so a flashback arrestor mechanism on your HHO generator would be an excellent idea indeed. These mechanisms can prevent most flashbacks and explosions.

Last, make sure that your HHO generator is not running while the vehicle is off - you don't want an accumulation of HHO in the hood or a leakage of HHO.
